Sennelier of France have newly reformulated their line of watercolours, creating the improved Aquarelle French Artists’ Watercolours for discerning watercolour artists of any nationality. True to Senneliers roots, the colour palette remains that of the Impressionists, aquarelle Watercolours now boast a wider range of 98 vibrant colours, from the most luminous lights to the richest darks. Featuring finely ground, lightfast pigments in a smooth gum Arabic and honey binder, these watercolours are luminous, vibrant, free-flowing and lustrous. Only the finest, highly lightfast pigments are used, ground slowly on stone mills and soaked for 24 hours in pure water so they incorporate more fully with the Kordofan gum Arabic and honey binder, making for a smooth paint ideal for radiant, transparent washes. Sennelier also increased the honey Content in aquarelle French Watercolours, which serves not only as a preservative, but also an additive that improves the paint flow while imparting incomparable brilliance and smoothness, and leaves the dried paint film with a lustrous finish.
